Lacking Opportunities
Is a “lack of opportunity” standing in the way of you using your spiritual gifts? It is often frustrating trying to scratch our itch for ministry when opportunities are not presenting themselves. The more time goes by, and our desire to minister grows, the more discouragement can settle into our hearts.
So, what do you do when ministry opportunities are “nowhere to be found?”
Ask.
Pray for God to direct you where He wants you serving.
Seek.
Look for unmet needs around you where your gifts can be utilized for God’s glory and others’ good.
Knock.
Pursue the available opportunities with humility and courage.
It may not be easy and might challenge every insecurity you have to put yourself out there. Believe me, I have been there! But I can tell you from experience that the reward of using your God-given, spiritual gifts is well-worth every fear, doubt, and uncertainty you encounter along the way!
Even if promising doors slam shut unexpectedly, do not give up. Keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Sometimes, it is through trial and error that Jesus leads us to exactly where He wants us. So, trust Him and relentlessly persevere!
