Four "Unqualified" People God Used Powerfully
The Bible is full of people Jesus used to accomplish His will despite their lack of “qualifications.”
Demoniac.
Without anything but his testimony of Jesus’ power, this previously possessed man was used by God to proclaim throughout ten cities the great things Jesus did for him, having been set-free from at least 2,000 demons.
John-Mark.
Having previously deserted Paul and Barnabus on a missionary trip when things became “too difficult,” God used John-Mark as a missionary later on and inspired Him to write one of the four gospels.
Peter.
Having arrogantly boasted of his faithfulness to Jesus then denied Him three times shortly thereafter, God used Peter as a “pillar” of the Church, a powerful preacher, and an author of two books of the Bible.
Timothy.
Without anything but his adolescence and sincere faith in Jesus, God used this young man to assist the Apostle Paul in ministry and ultimately pastor the church in Ephesus.
Always remember that Jesus is the one who calls, equips, and qualifies us for ministry. He supplied us with gifts and burdens as evidence that He wants to use us for His glory. Never let anyone disqualify you from what God has called you to do. As someone once told us years ago regarding our ministry, “Never permit the shoe to tell your foot how big it can grow.”
