What Godly Marriages Look Like
We have all seen healthy, godly marriages. But how did they get that way? Though every relationship is unique, godly marriages all share some basic core values that help them experience the blessed relationship Jesus intended for their marriage.
Here are just a few of those components:
Mutual Respect.
Spouses who respect and embrace each other’s God-given personalities and uniqueness invite harmony and acceptance into their relationship.
Mutual Value.
Spouses who welcome and value each other’s input, thoughts, and ideas breed unity and oneness while functioning as a whole unit within their marriage.
Mutual Selflessness.
Spouses who put each other’s needs and desires above their own create an atmosphere of humility and surrender, eliminating the need to fight for their own way.
Mutual Faithfulness.
Spouses who consistently demonstrate trustworthy actions in all areas of their relationship produce security and protection within each other’s hearts and minds.
