Trusting God Through Uncertain Seasons

During dark and confusing times, we can feel so isolated and alone.  It can also seem like Jesus is so distant and detached from our current happenings.  But that is definitely not the case.

Romans 8:28 assures us who love God that He is working all things together for good to accomplish His plans and purposes for our lives – even when nothing makes sense to us, and our confusion is at an all-time high.

Though we may not like it, we need to understand that much more spiritual growth occurs in the valleys of our lives than when we are on the mountaintops.  So, allow God to be God and trust Him to use every circumstance, both good and bad, for a greater purpose than what you might see or comprehend.

Finally, remember this: If Jesus revealed every reason why He allows certain things to occur in our lives, we would not need to walk by faith or trust Him completely.  We would trust our knowledge and understanding instead.  But God calls us to trust Him, despite what we do not understand, because He is a good God who is never out to hurt or destroy us but to make us more like Him (Romans 8:29).

Are you willing to trust Jesus despite your uncertainty of what is occurring in your life?  Let me know in the comments below.
