Combating Fear And Uncertainty
Do you fear Jesus will disappoint you as others have in your life? Are you worried He will let you down if you give Him your full trust?
Depending on God can be scary when we have experienced such unreliability from people. But the good news is, Jesus is not like people in that regard!
Here are four truths about Jesus to help you combat your fears and give Him your full confidence no matter what you face in life:
Jesus is Faithful to His Word.
Unlike humans, who say things but do not always follow through with their promises, Jesus’ words cannot be anything but true. When He says something, it is always 100% accurate, and His promises can do nothing but come to pass. (Psalm 19:7-8)
Jesus is “For Us.”
Jesus is always out for our good in everything He does or allows in our lives. Although some experiences may be painful, they are always intended for our growth, development, and ultimate good. (Romans 8:28)
Jesus Never Changes.
Jesus is our unwavering and unchanging anchor. He does not change like shifting shadows but holds our lives together in His hands. (Hebrews 13:8)
Jesus Sees and Hears Us.
Even though others might ignore or tune us out, Jesus always sees and listens to us as His children and intercedes on our behalf. (1 Peter 3:12)
