Callings And Ministries May Shift Over Time

I wish someone would have told me!

For years, I never understood the difference between my calling and ministry. I assumed they were the same, and I was out of God’s will if one of them changed.

Since then, I have learned that my calling and ministry may shift over time, and I am still in the center of God’s will despite these changing seasons:

• My first ministry season and calling involved helping my husband fulfill his ministry calling while raising our children.

• My second ministry season and calling involved teaching His Word through women’s Bible studies and a handful of Christian retreats.

• In my current season of ministry, I am defending and contending for the Christian faith, authoring multiple women’s Bible studies, ministering to others through social media and online platforms, and helping my husband lead two ministries.

I share my seasonal ministry experiences with you because I never want you to limit Jesus or question whether you are in His will when seasons change. Instead, use your gifts to faithfully accomplish your calling in whatever season of ministry you are in for God’s glory and others’ good.
