Making Your Life Count For God's Kingdom

As believers, we all want our lives to bring God glory and impact His kingdom for eternity, right?  But how do we do that effectively?

• Believe God.
  We cannot glorify God if we do not believe Him.  That is why Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

• Obey God’s Word.
  We cannot glorify God if we are not obeying His Word.  That is why Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.”

• Follow the Holy Spirit’s Voice.
  We cannot impact God’s kingdom if our ears are not attentive to His voice.  That is why Jesus said in John 16:13-15, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.  All things that the Father has are Mine.  Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

Sometimes, we overcomplicate what it means to glorify God and impact others.  But ultimately, God wants our hearts.  Once He has them, the rest comes easy.
